My 4-year-old daughter is having problems at her preschool. She has a tendency to go off in her own little world, and so when the teacher wants her to transition to something else, she has a very difficult time and gets upset, sometimes completely melting down. It's to the point where she says she thinks the teacher is mean and doesn't like her, and the teacher is having me come get her early because she won't follow directions for the last few minutes of the class (outdoor play). She is the only one in the class having problems and I feel like I am doing something horribly wrong at home with her to make her have such a hard time. I work from home so she has gotten used to playing by herself, but I have been trying super hard to help her (warnings for changing to some other activity, etc.). She goes to Sunday school and we haven't gotten any bad reports from there...what is going on? What am I doing wrong? How can I help her? I almost want to pull her from the class but I want her to make friends and have practice listening to another adult.
