Why just me?

My little boy is 16 months. He don't bite anybody except me. Normally when he's mad, but sometimes he just does it like completely impulsively. When I say "no don't bite, it hurts mommy" he makes a really sad face and kisses it and says "ettr" (better). I was just wondering why he only bites me & how do I get him to stop?

Agree with the above. It may be my imagination, but I believe that it helped to watch for the point that my son was preparing to bite me, i.e. I knew it would happen if he went to nestle his face in my leg. At that moment, I'd tell him "NO" and set him down.

It's his age. Psychologically he's learning you are not him, his body and your body are not the same. He also knows you'll always be there for him, even if he does hurt you. So he bites. To stop it you need to be firm, set him down, tell him it hurts and walk away.
