My youngest daughter age 9 has ADHD and has frequent melt downs, anger issues, trouble in school, can go from crying to laughing in a matter of seconds, doesn't sleep at night and still wears a 6X/7 shirt and pants is on 20mg of timed release ritalin and hates taking it. I also don't want to give it to her any longer as it's just keeping the issue at bay and not really "helping" her. I've read case studies that claim giving a child with ADHD a B vitamin complex, fish oil, magnesium and zinc can help with the issues that she's having without having to drug her up. Just knowing that the drugs for ADHD are really Methamphetamines really bothers me and can make the child more prone to drug addiction later in life (so I've heard). She only seems to act out at home because the school up until this year has never had issue with her grades and she behaves while there but loses her mind when she gets home. I do think there are other things going on with her that I need to check out but has anyone ever tried just vitamins that help with the ADHD behaviors?
