Loosing drastic weight while breastfeeding isn't what people think it is.
Your uterus is encouraged to contract when breastfeeding so that can reduce the 'pooch' of pregnancy, but this is not weight loss.
When you are breastfeeding, you burn calories at a much higher rate, but you need an extra 500 calories a day to keep up with it. Loosing weight while breastfeeding isn't exactly a good thing unless you are overweight to begin with.
By not breastfeeding, you will be able to get back into the saddle of intense exercise faster. Be sure you are eating enough but cut out snacking and you should do just fine. Loosing weight is about a healthy lifestyle so you can look and feel your best. Be aware that you may never be exactly where you were before. Pregnancy changes your body permanently- for some the changes are more visible than others. Some people's breasts for example, are larger after birth than they ever were before pregnancy. Some, smaller. It's the chemistry of your own body.

It doesn't just fall off you do have to work at it (for most people).

Diet and exercise is needed to lose weight. Eat healthy foods and get moving, even if it's going for a walk with baby in the pram/stroller.
