I have to believe this is site has become an outlet for either hope or denial. We cannot possibly have a generation of women who don't understand how to confirm a pregnancy! Seriously, and I don't mean to be unkind but what answer are you looking for: sure you are pregnant even though you have a period or no way are you pregnant even though had sex and have symptoms. Why does anyone think that other mother can tell you yes or no over the internet?
The answer you will get is; you had sex and you are not sterile, therefor despite using BC or not you may have conceived a child. It matters not, when your period was, how long it was or what symptoms you have. Pregnancy tests are accurate, cheap and available at any drug store. Do a test, if it is positive, then you are likely pregnant. If it is negative, wait a few days and test again; if still negative then you are likely not pregnant. Ultimately your doctor is the only one to confirm one or the other.

Ladies. You made my day! Ironically on a day that I needed it! Thank you for that and I always appreciate your posts and feedback.
My mom told me a funny story:
Her older sister was 18 and allowed, at long last to date a boy. This was 1949, as my aunt was born in 1931. My mother was a huge tomboy and worked at a stable near her house. Grandma and grandpa did not approve of my mother working at a stable but at least she was not "boy crazy". They thought; let her muck the stalls and feed the horses she loves, she will be safe. Well my aunt, 18yo went on a date and came home sad and quiet, would not talk to anyone. One week later the young man proposed to my aunt; since they were to have a child! My mother (15yo at the time) said how can you be pregnant so soon! The response of both my aunt and the boy was; "We French kissed, so now we will have a baby".
My mother at 15 said: "It takes the horses at the stable a lot more work that French kissing to have a foal!" It was then that my mom decided she would not raise children who did not know the ins and outs of baby making and beyond! She was a pioneer of her generation! I am proud to continue her tradition. No topic is taboo, period.

Sarah, we do have a generation of kids who don't know squat about their bodies and reproduction, because of a few parents that caused a stink over sex-ed being taught in schools and got it banned. These same parents don't teach it either, thinking that the less the kids know, the less they will get in trouble. But the opposite is true... the less they know the more they get in trouble. And the parents of the other kids probably still think the schools are covering it, so they don't teach it either. Lots of uneducated, confused, horny/hormonal, think-they-know-enough kids running around, having sex, and apparently coming on this site. lol

This is a such a common question here at CoM! The thing is; with the info you give no one can determine if you are pregnant or not. Do you want to be pregnant? If no, and you are pregnant, what do you think you'd do? I am just saying that no one here can diagnose a pregnancy over the internet, but we can offer advice and give support to you once you know your status. If you are pregnant and are not happy or not pregnant and devastated. That is where we can help you.

If you had a period, you're probably not pregnant. Many things can make your periods irregular, like stress. If you don't want to get pregnant, then stop having sex or use protection. Jodi is right, though... random strangers on the internet can't tell you if you're pregnant or not. If you're concerned, see your doctor.

You might be. We can't tell you. You need to either do a pregnancy test or see your doctor.
