I'm just looking to see if anyone else has had similar pains to what I'm experiencing. I've talked to the dr numerous times and they aren't much help. It's like they don't believe me...Let me give you a little background on myself first...In high school, I was 110lbs and then a few years later found myself in a desk job where I started gaining some weight. Before I got married in 2007, I was able to diet and lose some weight. Not all that I wanted to, but definitely enough to be happy with myself. I think at the time I got married, I was weighing in at 135 then. Gained a little weight after the wedding, but still looked fine. Then, I got pregnant and gained another 65lbs. I was so hungry all the time, I just couldn't curb my appeitite....I had a very, very rough labor so it took awhile for me to start moving around again. Also, I had a Mirena inserted which punctured my uterus and went completely through so I was in pain ALL THE TIME!! Once the doctor finally listened to me and removed it, I thought Great! Now I can really get going on this weight loss. Nope! 18 months later and I still havent lost a pound no matter what I do.... But my question is, has anyone else noticed significant pain in their lower back, hips, legs and feet since having a baby or epidural? (Or even if you had problems like I did with the Mirena) I've been wondering if this was due to being overweight (Which I'm sure has something to do with it. ) But, I was thinking pain from being overweight would be more in the knees or possibly ankles... I thought maybe the more I moved around, my body would get used to it, but it never does, it hurts more...(and this is over a years time). So aside from being disgusted with myself all the time, I'm constantly in pain...ANYONE out there feeling like me?

I would certainly seek out a good chiropractor or osteopath - your body becomes more flexible during pregnancy, but might not go 'back' quite as it should. I found this made such a difference to me as my pelvis was out of alignment after birth.

Also you might wanna look into Gluten free living. This can have a huge effect on you. My mum, sister and husband now don't eat gluten. They have lost weight, got more energy, don't have pain in their joints, and don't have insomnia either. It can have significant difference on your life. Trial it for 2wks and see how you go.

jane i like how u also talked about gluten free living.. the thing is it can take years for some people to feel better.. it took a month for it to get out of my system.. i felt a little better.. now its been 8 months ive been gluten free but even a small crumb can make me really sick.. some of the problems from gluten like the depression can take a few years before u feel better.. i would say to try it for atleast a month.. the longer ur gluten free the better u well feel! :)

look up info on celiac's disease.. cuz the weight problem could be because of that.. or look into gluten free living.. its a healthy way of living.. i have to eat gluten free cuz i have celiacs n i was diagnosed when i was 5 months pregnant n i was really sick.. it can give u really bad joint pains which ive had for years n if u do have celiacs n ur eating food with gluten u usually feel really hungry even if u just ate.. even if u dont have celiacs u could try a gluten free diet.. it might help u lose weight.. good luck!

It sounds like you need to seek medical attention. If your doctor does not believe you, go to another doctor. You should not be in pain like that. Even after a baby. Yes there are discomforts of getting your uterus back in it's original shape but if you are in extreme pain, there may be something else. Go ask for an MRI or ultra-sound.
