So im a workaholic I always have been, but pregnancy is new for me and I dont want to put any extra strain on my body or my baby... should I feel bad for not being able to lift or carry extra weight when its in my job description to do so?

You job should work with you. Get a list of restrictions from your physician.

And, no, you should not feel bad. You need to come to terms with limitations now. This is a lifelong commitment you're getting in to. You will need to be able to make adjustments to your work schedule to accommodate your family.

Go talk with your doctor about your restrictions. You are pregnant, and not disabled, but carrying to much weight can cause damage. I guess the question really is, what is more important to you, your job (that will be flexible after all you are pregnant) or the health of you and your unborn baby?
