I would like to find something whereby i can work from home and spend more quality time with my kids.
Start my own business or doing data capturing etc. - Something that will pay the bills but allow me to be home more.

This working from home opportunity where you can "spend more quality time" with your kids DOES NOT EXIST!! If you are giving your attention to a job to the extent where you expect to be paid for it by an outsider, then you cannot also give quality attention to your family!

The days of stuffing envelopes whilst at the same time singing songs to a toddler are long gone!

People who work from home on a serious level do not also have their children around them with no other carer there at the same time.

I've seen people go out with children in strollers and deliver catalogues, free newspapers or advertising brochures - but this is not exactly working in the home, it's going out in all weathers to push papers through people's doors - and not necessarily doors that are close to your own locality!

If it were possible to work, produce quality work output and at the same time not only care for but also give quality attention to one's children - well all those of us with outside employers would be allowed to take our kids into work with us!

Every person that wants to "work from home" is basically saying they want to work and earn but avoid paying childcare/daycare expenses - and in many cases - not have to spend time and money on travelling to work or "dressing smart" for work. And there are lots of people who do it - but it's usually people with serious employment skills who were already working outside the home whose employers then decided to restructure their staff's jobs so they were working from home and doing the same work as before.

Truly, your best chance of working from home for decent money is to first work OUTSIDE the home for an employer who will see your skills and then pay you to do the same thing at home.
