I don't get to visit with my grand kids often, however in my last visit I was very concerned that my 11 month old can not roll over, sit up or hold any of his body weight on his legs......he is somewhat over weight but does not seem to have any control of his lower back? I feel his head is also larger than normal. Am I right to be concerned?

At 11 months, the baby should be doing at least something. My 12 month old took a long time for rolling over because he was 12+ pounds at 6 months. He also took a long time for army crawling and pulling up. I would talk the parents and ask what their doctor said at the baby's last appointment.

Every child develops at different rates. If he has a big head, that can certainly contribute. Tummy time would be very important for him to build up strength. What have the parents said?
