Would it be wrong if I let my daughter get her nose pierced at 14?

My daughter has always been into being the cool kid and the name brand clothes, and the one with all of the cool piercings. But then she hit Highschool. Her ear lobes and cartilage arnt enough for her I guess. She has been asking me for awhile if she could get her nose pierced. Her older sister just got it done at 16. Please help she really wants it done and I'm not sure about it!!

Your are the parent. There is a reason they say that 18 is the legal age to get those done. Is she going to be responsible enough to care for her piercing after it is done?>

You're the friggin parent...if you want to continue to feed her desire to be "cool" by allowing a nose piercing, it's up to you.

Personally? That is one of those body modification procedures that she can choose to pay for on her own when she's an adult, but I am not her parent. I chose to raise my kids to be individuals, and not to do something just because "everyone else is" and "it's cool".

You should, at the very least, make her wait until she is 16, so you aren't allowing one kid to do it younger than the other, but again, not my kids.
