Would like Opion on bike seat or trailer?

We have a bike trailer that tows behind. Our son absolutely loves it. He has pockets to hold his drink too.
I personally like it because I feel it is safer. I can get on and off my bike without worrying about tipping him over. If I were to lose my balance on the bike and fall over, only I would fall. The connector to the trailer has a swivel on it and he remains upright no matter what position the bike is in.
The trailer has wheels on each side, so it is almost impossible to tip on flat ground. (I say almost because I'm sure something could happen, I just can't think of it myself)
Plus, at some point they will be too big for a seat on the bike. My son is 4 and he can still go in the trailer safely. And if we have another child at the house, both can fit because it has two seats.

There are also plastic flaps that pull down to "close" the windows when it's not quite as warm outside.

I say trailer it comes with a 5 pt harness and I feel is safer. We used this for my 4yr old when he was a baby and it will also grow with them unlike a bike seat, he still was using it at 4 and will still fit in it this summer as well at 4 1/2 because he can't keep up with his little bike and training wheels on long bike trips.

I personally have always used the bike seats. I really like it. The hardest part is getting off and balancing a bike with the child still on. I had one person tell me that the trailer tips easy, but I think they had the cheapest one, and that was quite a few years ago, so they are probaby built better now.
