Hi ladies, Need to pick your brain a lil. One of the hardest things I never thought would be…names! This being our 1st baby, we've had a few in mind for some time & have concluded to a final girls name. However, I'm now pondering which 1st name spelling to go w/that fits nicely w/Elizabeth, as the middle name: 'Adyson' or 'Addyson' ??
Adyson Elizabeth ~ Ady for short
Addyson Elizabeth ~ Addy for short

As for 'Addison', I opted to ixnay since it's the same spelling as a design brand, condition, & town, which is not very quaint.

Also, we already know our next if a boy will be 'Aiden' or 'Ayden' w/the middle name Jax & if a girl 'Alexandria' w/the middle name Brooke.

It's crossed our minds that maybe it'll come to us when we see her, but I wanted to gather some of your thoughts prior to. So, hoping you can help w/my little dilemma & share your honest thoughts on which you think sounds nicest & exquisite.

Thk you all & look forward to hearing from you!

I think Addyson with 2 d's is more feminine. Also as a Primary School teacher I can tell you that she will learn to spell her name however you spell it but if you want her nick name to be pronounced Addy (to rhyme with Daddy) then spellling it with 2 d's is easier than 1 as 1 d will tend to be pronounced Aidy (to rhyme with Sadie).

Ok,here's the very sum up of the story..While @ the hosp our baby was in the IC unit for several days after being born. There after for 4.5months she had extreme colic, every night from 11pm till 5:30am & through out the day. Lets not forget, constant projectile vomiting too. That was fun! These days she is doing much better! There after, gratefully, both the colic & vomit subsided, phew!!
Well, after having filled out the BirthCert form. Our(my & my babies) names were misspelled,as the person reading off the form we filled out I guess misread or did a typo. Whatever the case, it's still in the process of being fixed on my dollar, lol. Such a hassle to do so!
*We chose to go w/Adyson Elizabeth & Ady for short*
It fit nicely on her custom pacies. Also, I wasn't keen on the idea that Addison is another name for adrenal insufficiency disease. Hmm..

I am not sure what name you chose but our daughter's name us Adyson Elaine so I am a fan of 1 d for sure. Her nickname is Ady. My name is Michele, only one l, most have two. I suppose that is why I omitted the other d. It is working well for us so far :)

I think adyson is a good choice. I named my daughter Kyla Nicole, short and simple for when it comes time to learn to spell and write it. I think the less confusing for them the better, not that one extra d would be that much more confusing, lol. I completely agree that it will come to you when you see her for the first time, b/c I was stuck between Kyla and Kayla, but as soon as she was born Kyla was the name I decided on.

I like the spelling Adyson.

My daughter's name is Kylie. I originally liked it that way. When I was in labor, my partner and I discussed it briefly and we were going to spell it Kiley because we didn't want anybody to mistake her name for the boys name, Kyle. After my daughter was born, my partner followed her to the nursery and when he came back, he announced her weight, height and that he changed the spelling because he thought it looked better written Kylie instead of Kiley. Lol. Wanted to share my name spelling story with you =]
