My 2yr old daughter is mix with black phillipino and white..... She has thick curly soft hair... When I washes it, its thin curls, as it air dries it thicken up, I love my daughters hair, just more of wanting to try other things to help style it better...I'm not sure if I should use a flat iron it to help straighten it...Any suggestion??

Heat protection spray won't stop it breaking. When you straighten curly hair repeatedly, it will break. Just like playing with a paperclip, you straighten it out, and when you try to put it back the way it was, you can't get it just right. And the more you straighten that paperclip, and try to put it back, the more warped it becomes until it's so weak that it breaks. Same concept. Your best bet is to only do it on rare occasions.

I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, but once in a while for a change of pace... sure. Keep in mind that ironing hair damages and breaks it, so if you intend to grow her hair long, it won't be very healthy if you iron it often. if you plan to keep it short though, it would probably be cut often enough that damage won't show.
