Absolutely not, and most school districts in the US have an age limit. The child must be 5.

If yours is as fluent and accomplished as you state, put her in preschool.

Nope. None of my kids went to preschool under 3 years old and I wouldn't even consider it under any circumstances.

Nope......I start preschool with my kids at 3 to 4 yrs old. I feel 2 yrs old is too young for what I am wanting them to get from preschool. For me preschool is the stepping stone before they enter kindergarten. I want my kids learning how to follow in a line, take turns, listen to the teacher when she is talking and then follow those directions.....to get that teacher/student experience versus mom/daughter(son) experience. I want them knowing a school routine (playtime, circle time, etc.). And I want them experiencing that separation from me for school when it is a shorter period of time then what it would be when they get to kindergarten. I also want them learning their abc's, 1,2,3's and etc. But those are things I can easily (and do) teach at home. For me a 2 yr old is still learning how to communicate, and their words, usually at some point in that 2 yr old time period they are also working on potty training. They are doing play groups for learning how to socialize some, but again they are still learning how to communicate.

Even if this two years old is active, speaks clearly, is fully potty trained, follows basic instructions
