Would you use Uber to shuttle your kids around?

Hi Moms -
I have heard of some parents using Uber to shuttle their kids around from school to activities and events. I wanted to get thoughts from the community on this practice:

- Have you done this? If so, for what (regular activities, events, emergencies, etc...)?
- Is this something you would feel comfortable doing with Uber as-is? If not, what would Uber need to do to make you feel comfortable?
- How old do you think a child should be in order to use Uber in this way?

Thanks!

No, no, adult only. Uber is unregulated, any idiot or child abuser, can become an uber driver. I don't even trust the service for ME.

No. This is dangerous. You are the parent. If your children are active in after school activities it is your job to ensure they arrive there and leave safely. If you are having difficulties driving your own children around, try car pooling with other parents, or remove them from their activities. Uber is not for children.
