Y does my almost 3 year old keep peeing on the floors? And how do I make it stop?

My son who will be 3 in a couple weeks started peeing on the floors a couple months ago, but lately it's been getting worse (atleast a couple times a day). I kkep pants on him all the time so I can see when he starts to take them off and bring him potty, but during bed time and nap time when I'm not watching him he quietly takes off his pants and diaper and goes on the floor. Y is he doing this? And how do I get him to stop?

My daughter is doing something similar. She is three, she usually makes it to the toilet but lately she's been peeing on the floor. I've tried explaining. Time out. No tv. Making her clean it nothing seems to work..

Maybe he is just not ready??? I think 2 years old might be a little young to make clean up his own pee as someone else suggested.

I never used a potty with either of my sons I took them straight to the toilet. When they had mastered potty training to the point of very few accidents I then bought a target that attatched to the toilet for them to aim at. This made peeing into a game and got the wee in the loo!

In addition to what Casey said, you also make him clean it up. He makes the mess, he cleans it every time. That should help discourage him from peeing on the floor. That really helped when my daughter decided to make messes all over the place. Who wants to clean up pee, right?

You need to just keep encouraging him to use the potty and tell him that big boys don't pee on the floor or you could maybe try a tolilet training rewards chart I knwo you can buy them online or you could make your own and fot every pee done in the potty he gets a star after so many stars he gets a suprise, might encourage him to use the potty more if his going to get something good out of it :)
