I need some advice?
I've been with my boyfriend a year & a bit now.. & we're planning on having a baby together? I'm 18, 19 this year, I live at home with my mum, I have a full time job but my boyfriend doesn't as he's in college studying for construction.. My family & friends don't like him at all for certain reasons but I love him & I wanna be with him? I just dunno what to do? Cos I know my mum would kill me, I just wanna be happy with him.. Am I too young for all this? & should I even worry what other people think?

Gonna read through the lines here. You want to have a baby to make him stick around. Guess what? Babies are wicked hard. Chances are, he will run off before the baby is even born, cause clearly neither of you are currently in the position to be bringing a new life into the world. Go to school. Get a career. Let him finish college and get a good job. THEN have a baby.

If you are still living at home with mum and your boyfriend is still gaining his qualifications, I would definitely suggest you hold off having a baby. It isn't so much about your age as about your financial position and ability to support yourselves as a couple before you bring another person into this world. You are young, you have plenty of time. At this point I wouldn't rush it. You don't have to have a baby to be with your boyfriend. Why don't the two of you move in together (and be careful with your contraception) and see how you go before rushing into parenthood?
