The first few cycles after birth can be heavy, irregular and different than your periods pre pregnancy. Sounds completely normal.

No heavy periods can be normal and is a sign of the uterus returning to a healthy fashion. If your periods are painful or you are passing very large clots then you need to see a doctor as there maybe something left behind that is irratating the lining of the womb. Other than that things should settle down in a few months.

Nope, a change in menstrual duration is normal after having kids. After my third, I had periods every 5 weeks. After my 4th, I had them every 2 weeks and 5 days. I have heard somewhere that your periods will generally be lighter, shorter, and less painful after having kids, but that has not been the case for me. The one I had a couple of months ago lasted 9 days!
