10 months is kind of early to be walking, my daughter started walking when she was 9 months but that is very very early. Don't worry it is normal for kids to not walk until they are 11-13 months old.

My daughter didn't start walking until 14 months. She was walking while holding on to our hands since about 9 1/2 months... she was at that stage a LONG time. I'll admit it got really frustrating. Especailly since everyone in my and my husband's family started walking at around 12 months.

10 months is really early to be walking...and kinda rare. My son started walking at 14 months, and then learned to crawl...go figure. It is not a competetion,...they will do it when they want.

My daughter didn't crawl until 10 months, and walked at 14 months. My son crawled at around 8 months, and walked at 9 months 3 weeks. Slow down! 10 months is very young to be walking, let him be a baby for a bit!

My son started walking around his first birthday. My friends child was walking by 9 months. Every child is their own and will learn each thing when they are ready. Trust me, you don't want to rush this lol.

My son is nine months and he doesnt know how to crawl yet but he'll walk (when we hold his hands) all over the place which he started the wk of the 12th when he turned 9mos, so all babies are different, so i wouldnt worry either.

i wouldn't be stressing!!! I went to see our paediatrician when my little girl was 17 months because she still wasn't walking and she said it is normal for a child to walk between 9 and 18 months. The next day she started to walk by herself!!!!! Give him/her til s/he is 18 months before you even begin to worry. xo

My son was over 16 mo. when he started walking. You don´t have anything to worry about. Now he´s 20 mo. old and he´s doing everything that a 2 year old should do developmentally, and he has been since he was 18 mo. old. Kids just have their own pace. One of my friends told me that she didn´t walk until she was 2 years old. (She is about my age) Her parents were really worried and kept taking her to the doctor, but he said there was nothing wrong with her and she would walk when she was ready. She did and there is nothing wrong with her, she is really smart. so you shouldn´t worry.

My son was 11 mos when he started walking and I too, like you, thought it was taking him a little longer than other kids. However i was watching a show on T.V. the other day and the doctor said the normal age for a child to start walking is 15 mos.

From my understanding... 9-18 months is 'normal' range of first time walking. Average is (I think) around 13 months.
My twin girls took their first steps at 10.5 months. My son was the day after he made 9 months. I was 18 months. :)
