Our 13 month old has been chewing on his crib for about 2-3 months now and we don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks

100% normal. More than likely caused from teething. try a teether or a semi hard toy....

my daughter does this too... and she licks it too, and she's started to chew on the couch, which is a pain lol. he'll probably stop once he's done teething.

lol is he teething!?! like morgan said it's very normal...they sell rail protectors at walmart toys-r-us, etc. you could also find something you'd feel more comfortable with him chewing on to distract him & lose intrest in chewing on his crib.

Maybe give him some of the teether rings that can be frozen, he might be cutting more teeth. There are some children who just like to explore with their mouth though. I used to give my girls a wet wash cloth when they were little, even tied a knot in a few so they could chew and I knew it was not going to hurt them. (I rinsed the washclothes in hot water several times and wrung them out to get rid of any soap reside that may have been left by the washer, that way they were not ingesting any soap.) I hope that you find this helpful.
