My son is pretty much 100% pee potty trained but he is refusing to poop on the potty. He has done it several times in the past. Is he afraid? Is he not ready for poo potty training? We have offered all his fave treats with little success. Thoughts? Getting tired of changing poo pants!

I know of a kid that was pee trained right around 2, but wouldn't poop in the potty til he was 4.

I got lucky. My girls poop trained before pee and my son was in diapers until he was 100% trained for a month. ;)

I don't have any advice, but I know it WILL happen.

Also, when he DOES get the hang of it, don't be surprised 6 months later if he starts pooping in his pants all over again. It is totally normal, and happens to many kids that are fully potty trained.

Poop training is ALWAYS the most difficult. He will eventually get it. It takes a lot longer for pooping in the toilet rather than peeing. Just think, usually they are standing and they do a squat....it really isn't the same as being suspended over a toilet. I actually got one of those toilet squshy seats that you put on top of your own toilet to help my son. It eventually worked. I would read him "potty" books to him while he sat on it. Don't worry, he is still young. He will get it. He just isn't ready yet.
