2 kids 2 different hair colours same dad

am not worried was just curious. i have 2 brothers one has fair skin and blue eyes the other tanned and dark hazel eyes where as i was white blonde with blue eyes and olive skin i darkened down as i got older. i just always thought i would have blonde haired children. but think my daughter has took after my partners dark haired she was very very thick black hair when born x

Genetics are a funny thing. It's like rolling the dice in a way because a specific gene can remain dormant for generations then pop up. Both my kids (same Dad) have different hair colour. Nothing to worry about at all!

I have dark brown hair, hubby has light mousey hair. My son is mousey my daughter is very blonde, she was born with bright orange ginger hair.

My kids were dark and light at birth and neither of them have hazel eyes they have my blue eyes.

Research Genetics. There is a lot to it and if your husband and you are quite different you can have a heap of different children.

Genetics.

Many brothers and sisters do look a lot alike while others look nothing alike. The age difference will not make a difference in how they do or don't look unless they came from the same egg and sperm....

The age difference, or lack thereof, will have no bearing on how much siblings resemble each other. It's all based on whatever genetic material happens to be contained in the egg and sperm in question.

You may want to consider reading up a bit on genetics. It's actually really fascinating.

It's not really strange, it's genetics. There have even been fraternal twins with different skin colour.

It doesn't matter how far apart they are born, it depends which genes they've inherited and which are dominant. Fraternal twins can even have different hair and eye colours.

My kids are polar opposites of each other and they have the same father. My daughter is darker skin tones and dark colored hair, my son is fair skinned, red hair and blue eyes.

thanks guys i just found it strange that there is only 10months between both them have my eye colour but my daughter had masses and masses of dark hair when born and has stayed brown her brother was born with little hair and is very very blonde. x

Hi . I have 4 children and all of them have different colour hair to dark brown to light brown, sandy blonde and strawberry blonde lol.

Genetics. Its not about exactly what HE or YOU look like, but the possibilities of what's in your genes from your family. For instance, I have red hair, and no one in my family has red hair - my mom, brother and father all have brown hair. But my great grandfather had red hair - and that's where it comes from for me.

Have you ever taken basic biology class and learned about dominant and recessive genes?



Google it. Learn in. Educate yourself. You will find the answer as to why 2 kids from the same gene pool have 2 different hair and eye color. Good luck.
