I experienced problems with carpel tunnel durring pregnancy and it was less severe after delivery but it never went away completely. Twenty years later I had surgery. But have to figure your use of your hands also! I love to do embrodery and crochet. that makes it worse.

Hi Yes I did Carpel tunnel around 6th month of my pregnancy. I just kept using Antiflamme and a wrist band to support . Ot last me over 6 months after my delivery, but every one is different. I still some time use the wrist support so that I don't strain it. Good Luck.

Oh do i remember the carperl tunnel. Its actually very common and should go away a few months after pregnancy.Ask your docter if you can take a vitamin b supplement as a deficiency in b's is most likely the case!Good luck!

I went to the doctors for my carpel tunnel. It was so bad it was keeping me up at night. The pain would shoot from my wrist all the way up my forearm. He suggested I wear a good wrist band all the time. Get the kind that goes up to your forearm. Mines called the Imak smartglove. I have not had any issues since! Good luck to you.

I had a severe case of carperl tunnel!!!! It was awful. I wore braces on my arm, propped my arms up, tried sleeping while sitting up, and tried accupunture ( this helped for about a day). None of these things helped much. It did go away about 5 or 6 weeks after I had my son. Good Luck!!! I've felt you pain.

I had CTS in both hands with my first pregnancy, It got so bad that I had to go on maternity leave early as I was useless, couldnt write or type. It took about 6-7 weeks to disappear. The cause is fluid pressing on your carple tunnel nerve so when the fluid goes away so too should the symptoms.

I have never taken the mini pill but I do believe that you can get a period like bleed when commencing it. If you are really worried talk to your Dr. I'm pretty sure though it is due to the hormones. If the bleeding persists longer than a typical period or a week then seek medical advice with the Dr that prescribed it for you.

I was on the mini pill after the birth of my third son. I too had break through bleeding. But please be very carefull taking this pill. My Dr. did not tell me that this pill is very sensitive and needs to be taken at the exact same time everyday. I was breast feeding my son, and taking the pill, but still got preggers. The Dr. told me it was because I wasn't taking it at the same time. Sometimes I'd take it in the morning, or afternoon. opps! lol

My grandmother recomended rubbing oil of oregano into my wrist it seem bazzar but it did help me oh yeah you will smell like a pizza. I got it bad in my wrist I used to bounce my son to sleep. It is still a little weaker and sensitive but good.

Mid cycle bleeding is normal with the mini pill and should go away after a few cycles but I think it should be closer to a light spotting not heavy also with the mini pill you need to be very close to the same time each day. That said if you haven't gotten your first period since birth it could just be your body regulating. read the little paper that came from the pharmacy or call them to ask. They tend to be a lot less busy than doctors. Mine is always very willing to look things up for me. Make sure you use a back up protection till you get a forsure answer.

I am currently pregnant and get carple tunnel issues. I am a hairdresser so I use my hands all day....my hands go numb most of the time at nite...I talked to my doctor about it an now I sleep with wrist braces on each arm...this helps some but not all of the pain and numbness.

I was on the mini pill until just recently. It's not uncommon for bleeding to occur, especially if you started to take the pill before you got a regular period back. I started taking the pill before I got a period, just to be safe, as I was b/f and did not want to chance a back-to-back pregnancy after having my twins. Once I started a period, I just kept taking the pill, as the hormone level is the same all month...no placebos...and just made sure to mark on the calendar when I got my period. Once I got regular (it took about 3 months) I just got an extra pack one month and started a new pack on the Sunday after I started. If you were already getting a regular period and are now getting a heavy flow mid-cycle, I would suggest you call your doctor. You may want to do so anyways, as every woman is different. :)
Sorry I can't help with the carpal tunnel...I know my sister had it pretty badly and did some exercises for it. She says all her symptoms went away within a week of her twins being born. I didn't have any problems, though.
Good luck!

Can't help with the mini-pill. But as for carpal tunnel, I had it really bad in both hands when pg with dd. It is much better now (she's 21 months) but has never fully healed, my hands still go numb at night and I get pains in them most days, I still can't write with a pen for very long for example when I need to fill out a form. Mind you, I'm really bad about going to the doctors for things so I don't know if this is actually something fixable. I'm going to try Marijke's suggestion.

sorry just want to be clear on the instructions, forgot to say when you are doing this exercise repeat the movement several times, once is not enough, anything from 5 times to 5 minutes depending on the pain level.

Yes! i got the pregnancy enduced carpel tunnel which got so bad i couldnt drive a car or even hold a pen. i found relief when a friend of mine who is a tai chi instructor showed me a move.

you extend your arm a little, take the finger closest to the pinkie and slowly and gently touch it to the pad of the thumb. this must be done very slowly and gently, and repeated several times a day or when ever symptoms are present

unfortunatly 7 years on i still get symptoms in my right hand when i go for extended drives or write too much, but i am at least able to work (as a cook holding knives all day) without pain or discomfort. and didnt have to resort to surgury which is a major plus in my eyes.

i hope the exercise i have described is able to give you some relief, it really did work for me.
