recently my son has been having quite severe headaches. they are more severe at night when he is tired and the light irritates him. the doctor thinks they are nothing to worry about. He has stomache bug atm and wondered if anyone has had similiar issues and whether or not it is related to the stomache bug, or a fatigue situation or something more serious?

I am a nurse and I am of the opinion that migranes are not common among children. depending on your insurance you can either call children's hospital or another pediatric neurologist or demand a referal from your doctor. don't waste time neurologists can take weeks or months to look into. Its always good to be sure about these things.It is true that kids can get headaches when they are dehydrated but if it happens more than once it is worth looking into, no one will think you are paranoid, you just need to be persistent with some doctors, they don't see your kid as much as you do, you know best.

my 3yr old daughter gets headaches when she is tired or hungary the doc told us its her bodies way of telling her she needs rest or food. but it is scary and it never hurts to get a second opinoin!

Does he have seasonal allergies? I know my allergies have really been bothering me the last 3-4 weeks and I have felt quite yucky lately too. It's a number of things really, definetly headaches and if your son has any drainage that could cause the stomach aches too. My eyes have been real sensitive that I can't wear my contacts and they can burn and feel irritated and dry. I have also noticed a sensitivity to light recently b/c my eyes are more irritated than they were about a week or so ago. This is just a thought, but maybe it would help explain some of his symptoms. Since he's so little it's hard to get a true understanding of what is really the problem.

my son gets headaches all the time, my brother is a doctor and he thinks it had something to do with his neck and he wanted to work on him but my son wont let him, my son only needs to tap his head and he will be in bed for 2 days and being sick it does worry me sometimes, so if it keeps on keep going back to the doctors thats what they are there for

My partner brad was very sick last year and it started as headaches and the light would hurt his eyes and if he moved his head it was even worse but it turned into a severe head cold ...it took him a week to get over it and some heavy sleeping antibiotics .

Stomach bug would dehydrate---dehydration=hangover. But get a second opinion...babies are so fragile.
