When do kid actually start sleeping through the whole night with-out bed wetting? My daughter is almost 3 yrs old and still has to sleep in her pull-up because she wets the bed almost every night. She does great during the day, and has been 'potty trained' going on 7 months now.

My daughter will be 5 next week and she is still sleeping in pull-ups. She did really good for 2 yrs, no accidents, no wetting the bed or anything. Then she had spurts where she was getting a lot of UTI's and she was wetting during the day and at night. Now though she is dry during the day, but does occasionally wet at night.

My son on the other hand, once he was potty trained he never ever wet the bed. He is 9 and has never in his life done it.

Each kid is different and there is really not much you can do about it except be patient and encouraging.

Yep...being potty trained during the day and being able to go all night is different. For most kids they have to be a bit older before they are able to wake up at night to go.

Hi. Kids are so different. My daughter never wet the bed but would during the day wet her pants. try to keep a routine i.e dinner time, no liquids after a certant time, and bed time at the same time every night. And ALWAYS make sure they go potty before bed. even if she says she doesn't have to go. most all be patient they all do it on their own time. Good luck.

my 5 yr old still sleeps in pullups, not a big deal to me. she is having lots more dry nights lately. she's always excited to have a dry night, and we praise her. they can't help it during sleep.
i've been told to try not letting them drink 2 hrs before they go to bed. haven't tried it myself but if it's an issue you could try it.
kids are just little once, don't rush them to be a big kid. :-)

i know exactly how you feel. my daughter is four tomorrow and she is in the same boat. i have tried and tried to get her clean through the night and have today put a potty in her room to see if she will use that and then i can progress that to the toilet in the bathroom. dont worry. my daughter is clean throu the day and that is the main part. your daughter will get there in the end.

My son just turned 5. He was potty trained at 2 years old but still wet the bed. It was not until he was about 4 1/2 until he finally started to have dry nights. Every once in a great while now he will have accidents. I know it is hard and frustrating, but you just have to hang in there!

My 6 year old still sleeps in pullups. It's very common to take longer for night training.

I have known children whose bodies outgrow bedwetting as late as 7 years or so. Please don't be concerned about this - at 3 - 5 it's still very common. And, please don't feel you have to force her out of the habit, either. Here's my suggestion, and what worked with my daughter:

I realize that sleep is a precious commodity while your kids are little, but this is very worth the effort. Get her out of bed around midnight or so and set her on the potty. You don't have to fully wake her up - but you will want to kneel down in front of her if she's still partly asleep and let her lay her head on you so she doesn't fall off the potty. Most likely, she'll go (especially since she's used to doing that during the day). Just put her back to bed with the pull-ups, and if she wets them later that night, it's fine. That will just establish the routine of getting up when she needs to go. She'll get the hang of it when her body's ready. You might even try giving a small treat each day when she has stayed dry the night before. Just make sure that you don't punish for wetting the bed - it's not her fault. She wouldn't wet the bed if she were aware that she was doing it - she clearly isn't aware since she doesn't wake up to go potty. Hang in there and it'll happen when it's supposed to. You're not doing anything wrong, and she's completely normal! =)

Every child is different and some just can't ... I have 3 year old twins. Aidan is completely dry day and night and Lana still can't make it through the night. I am battling in a huge way with her pooing in her pants - its driving me bananas ...

what i finally had to do with my middle child was just let her wet the bed. it sucks having to wash bedding all the time but after only 2 weeks she finally got it down. she never had an accident after that. she is almost 5 now.

don't give up hope just yet, my daughter just turned 3 last month and we just got rid of the overnight pullups a week or so ago, give it time, the important thing is that she is potty trained. make sure she doesn't have a lot to drink about an hour before bed and make her go potty before bed, and when she starts waking up with a dry pullup you'll know she's ready! good luck and i hope i was of some help.

My daughter is 3 and has been daytime trained for months now. She still wears pullups at night, though. I've heard about waking them up to go during the night but I'm afraid she'll stay up. We're still trying to figure it out, too. Good luck!

Every child is different. My 12 year old was the same do great during the day wet the bed at night til he was 6. My 4 year old hasn't peed in the bed for about a year now and was just fully potty trained during the day only about 3 months ago. Just be patient maybe try a few nights a week in just undies with a plastic cover on the mattress(if it's cloth) Girls hate being uncomfortable and it might help her realize what she's doing.

My daughter is three and still sleeps in pull ups. We have started seeing more dry nights lately though. I think it helps that we have started putting a routine of making her go to the loo before bed even if she does not say she needs it. We also put her 'night' drink on the side where she can get it if she wants it but its not given to her to drink before she goes to sleep as we used to always give her a cup of milk before bed.

Kids have to train their bladders and help them get stronger. I don't thikn there is anything to worry about at the moment.
