Hi, i had reflexolgy done on my feet and the next morning I started early labour. I had it recommended to me and I'ld do it again. I may have been coincidence, but it was really relaxing as well. Good luck

I tried everything that was suggested to me - the hospital tried to induce me 3 times, i had sex, sex, spicy food, hot baths, sex, rose tea, sex, walks, sex, walked my dogs was pulled around, castor oil - basically every single thing i was advised by whether is was medical or advice from people. sex, sex and more sex and i was still 2 wks overdue and then i was given a scrape when my waters broke and 18 hrs later he still didn't want to come as i was only 3 cms dilated the gyny waited and it wasn't until we were both distressed that they did an emergency C section which i didn't really want!!! So my advice is wait till baby is ready hon... Good Luck x

Don't be in a hurry. The baby and your body know when the time is righ. Get a lot of rest. Go get a pedicure. Leave your toddler with a sitter and have a nice lunch with some girlfriends. Your body will go into labor when the time is right.

A good rousing round of sex late at night or early morning.

Sometimes that baby needs the extra time in the womb for development too.... maybe you should just let him come when he is ready. :) You see how fast they grow. Dont rush it. Allow him the time he needs to get ready to come into this world.
I do know reflexology & accupressure work, too.
Remember though, a fine wine takes time. This baby must be perfect, so let him be. 2 weeks isnt that far away. YOu've made it this far.
Once you have 40 weeks, then go find a reflexologist/massage therapist. :)

black cohosh !!!!! you buy it at gnc.... as long as you are far enough along it is perfectly healthy. I took one pill, then another pill an hour later ( i was already having some contractions here and there which starter from castor oil - it was awful) then i walked and walked , up the down elevator, on a treadmill , around the mall for about 2-3 hrs and i was 7 cm!!!!! worked great - its a natural labor inducer

ORGASIMS DO NOT WORK!!!

It is not the orgasm that puts you into labor , it is actually a chemical present in semen , the same chemical used ripen the cervix in hospital prostoglandin ( sp? ).
Your partner will be happy to know sex is not the most effective way to use this chemical to naturally induce labor .
The most effect way is to infact ingest the semen orally , if you know what i mean .

DO NOT take castor oil... It makes you poop and it also can make baby poop too which is severely dangerous...

I know you dont want to hear it, but please wait...

Nyoka, orgasms can work, it just depends on how ready your body is to go into labour. Any type of muscle contraction in that region can bring labour on. I know, for instance, a pregnant woman with a gastro infection can be in danger of going into premature labour simply because of the muscular contractions it causes.

Wait the two weeks. Not what you wanted to hear but there is a time and a season for all things....even the birth of a child. Sending up a prayer for you and the baby that both will be in good health.

Washing the kitchen floor by hand is meant to do it - must be the squatting and thrusting action that helps - if that doesn't wok eat a curry!!

I was due 17th July this year and like you i have a toddler and was getting inpatient so i searched the net for ways to induce labour. I tried everythin that everyone could think of, I tried castor oil twice, primrose oil, green leaf tea, swimming, sex, hot baths, curry, squats you name it i tried it, I even had 3 stretch an sweeps. I was getting really fed up and annoyed because people kept telling me he'll come when hes ready! I know how annoying it is but they were right after all i tried an even with the midwife doing the stretch an sweeps he was still 2days late! I really feel for you I no how upsetting it can get. Good luck I hope something works for you xx

I did the deed with my second child up until a week when she was due. I still had her on time. Just wait the 2 weeks out. we all know how uncomfortable, but it's a lot better if you are full term with the baby. Just be patient, you've waited 9 months what's 2 more weeks?

If i can remember it right, the prostaglandin content of semen will ripen your cervix or can initiate contractions or both. So, DO IT. just make sure do it in a position that wont compromise your breathing and wont squeeze out your tummy. Goodluck!

you have two weeks to go still. Your body will get it done for you. Be patient. I've heard castor oil works too though, but I wouldn't do anything until you are full term.

squat down on the floor and try to relax your muscles.... apparently rubbing strawberries on the inside of your lips works, if you like spicy foods eat something of that nature, not to much though, it could go straight through you....and like Sharon said, lots of sex, making sure your partener does his buisness inside you then prop your bum up on a pillow and stay there for a little while... sorry couldnt think of ne other way to put it. :- / good luck with everything...

Walking. Gravity helps. Light - and I emphasize LIGHT - exercise, sex. supposedly oral sex works better - or orgasms.

and its CASTOR oil, lol not castrol oil - castrol goes in your car....
