Yep sounds like labour especially if hot baths aren't making it go away. Feeling sick is a perfectly normal part of labour. Lots of women actually vomit at 8 cms and 10 cms. I did with my first and didn't with my second. Contractions are very rarely right in a row even towards the end of labour; they sure feel like it but anyone watching the watch knows there is a break in there. Just relax and let things happen. Remember the more relaxed and open you are the easier it will go for you. Don't get all tensed up and prevent things from naturally occuring. Good luck and congrats on your new lil one!

If you are having concerns I would certainly see your doc, it can't hurt. Although at this point in your pregnancy, I think its probably safe to say that your body is getting ready to deliver (with the cramps anyways). I can tell you that at the end of my pregnancy I had frequent cramping and LOTS of discomfort and found that although I was hungry all the time I had to eat smaller portions as my reflux was bothering me. If you think about it, it makes sense, all your organs are being shoved up towards your rib cage to make room for that growing and moving baby.

I would call your doctor in the morning....I know I got like this at the hospital and they said it was from contractings i wasnt feeling but I would call your doctor and ask

Being so close to your due date, everything is going to feel weird. If you are at all worried, call your OB. If only a little concerned, bring it up at your next appointment. Feeling a little sick is totally normal, there is no room left in there for you, baby, air, bladder, and food. Maybe stick with soups for a bit, they will help keep you hydrated and go through your system easier. What kind of cramps are they? I get Braxton-Hicks pretty regularly starting at about month 5. Are they that kind? Or more like abdominal or menstrual? Your muscles, stomach and pelvic, take a beating here and kind of retaliate.

You may be in labor. Keep track of the cramping/contractions and get as much rest as you can. Good luck.

You are getting close to delivery time so you will start feeling full every time you eat and I think the cramps are normal too, but always ask your doctor if your not sure about things. It cant hurt. Every ones labor is different so if you are feeling that bad ask your doctor. Good luck and hope all goes well when labor time comes. Take care and God bless....

I was told on my first child the show/plug isn't a sign your actually in labour and i was told to stay at home but it was my first child and i was 19 and the pains got worse but they werrent killing me...and i had more of a show..i went to the hospital which was an hour away and the checked me said no way i was going to go into labour at all but the kept me because i lived that far and it was late but hours after the gave me a sleeping tablet to rest i popped only 2hours after the said no way i wasnt in labour at all and after that i had her 9hours l8r.

If the pains get worse go to the hospital.Best of luck:-)

The mucus plug is a poor indicator of labor because you can lose it weeks before labor and you can make a new one. It can also slip out and never be noticed. At 39 weeks you are ripening and every twitch and cramp causes you to wonder if this is it.Rest stay hydrated and go with the flow. I hope all goes well!

The mucous plug doesn't really say whether or not you're going into labor, despite popular belief. With 3 kids, I lost it at all different weeks. Feeling sick and cramps that don't ease up with anything sounds to me like very early labor. Being that you're 39 weeks, you probably have a doc's appt soon, so unless things pick up speed, I'd wait until then to go in. Good luck!

Yeah you can loose your plug and never know. I know they call it the bloody show but with my second one I only noticed because like you I wasn't feeling well and had slight cramping... so I just happen to have checked the toliet and noticed mucusy stuff in it.

I never could tell that the plug had come out, so that doesn't really mean anything. I also never got sick during labor or delivery, but these other women did, so that could mean something. Either you are in labor, or you will be soon, don't worry, you'll know it when it comes. Good luck to you! This is a beautiful, wonderful, exciting time for you; this is the story that you will remember forever, the day you became a mommy. I hope it goes well for you!!

Towards the end of both of mine I got sick alot. And during labor i was sick. With my son i had constant contraction that were 7 min apart from week 30 but never was in labor. Ended up having to be induced with him. During the labor after the induction it was bad pain. With my daughter I had major contraction all night b4 my regular visit. And was very sick. By morning they were painless but i could still feel the contractions. I told my dr said I was only dialated 1 cm that she didnt think i was in labor because there wasnt anymore pain. I told her i really feel like i am in labor. She told me to leave the office and come back an hour later and shed check me again. (she really felt i wasnt in labor.) I came back an hour later and was still not hurting, she chcked me and i was 3cm. She put me in the hospital. My contractions all night were sometimes 2 mon apart and sometimes 10 min apart but i was dialating. Painless thru the whole labor. I went ahead and got an epidural so i would have it at delevery. I got it at 7 cm but still had no pain at all. So i wouldnt think for one sec that because they arnt regular that u may not be in labor. Mine during delevery were driving the nurses crazy cuz i would push and have to wait 5 mon for the next contraction push again and only wait 2 min. Id call the dr if u dont feel better soon.
