I married at 18 and was a full-time mom for 27 years. At 48 I am now living alone for the first time in my life and don't know what to do with myself. I'm also disabled and limited in what I can do physically. Most of my social life consists of Doctor appointment and physical therapy. I keep thinking...Is this all there is left of my life? I am divorced and not ever looking to marry again after 3 failed marriages. DONE! Any suggestions?

Hi, Lyn.
Life has to go on. Hope your children will come to visit you regularly. You could fill your day with something that you ever wish to do but you have no chance of doing it before (of course it must suits your conditions I guess). I love to do painting. I don't know what you love to do. You could also "talk" with friends through email perhaps. Take care.

Have you been to the local church or charity groups. Sometimes they have social groups and activities that you can be a part of. This is a good way to make friends. You may also like to voluiteer for1hour a week at a womens shelter and read stories to children. It just depends on what you feel you want to do.
