I am currently 5 1/2 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child and I am starting to show in my belly already. We are hoping to keep this pregnancy a secret until our 8 week check up, since I have had a miscarriage in the past, but dont know how to hide my belly and it is even worse after I eat! Is it normal to be showing at 5 1/2 weeks pregnant, since it is my 3rd?

i am dealing with the same issue , i went to the er the other day for some pain in my lower back witch just turned out to be some nerve that got pulled but they did an US to make sure everything was ok with the baby and they didnt see a sac or a baby but they said my uterus was inlarged and they did a pregnancy test and it showed i was definitly preggo , i weigh 118 and this is my third baby and i am already showing like majorly i look like i am 2 months pregnant! i know you start to show faster with each baby but this is crazy! and the only family member that has twins is on my husbands side and its his aunt, does anyone know why i could be showing this fast??

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my third child, and I have also started to develop a bit of a bump as well. The way I understand it is that with each subsequent pregnancy you start to show a little sooner because the muscles in you stomach never go back to the way they were before your first child. This kind of worked in reverse with my second child (didn't show until 5 months), but the closer they are together the faster you will show. i wouldn't worry about it though... most everyone who doesn't know will probably not even notice, and if they do, will probably be respectful enough not to ask you about it. good luck.

Yep its very normal to show really early with your 3rd pregnancy. I looked like I was 7 months pregnant by the time I was 4 months. Seriously! Everyone was convinced I was having twins. Turned out he was just REALLY big - 10 lbs, 6 oz! My first two were only 7lbs each. And they were all at least 10 days late, and had to be induced.

Yes, it's normal to be showing at 5 1/2 weeks pregnant but its mostly bloating and that sort of thing this early unless its twins. Also, since its your third your muscles are weaker which makes it way more noticable. drink as much water as you can its good for baby and will hopefully make your belly less noticable.

Its not like i am majorly showing, i am still wearing normal clothing. Just can see a belly bump and I'm only 5 1/2 weeks pregnant!

I "popped" early for the 3rd and 4th child, my sister is only 13weeks with her second and looks to be 5 months already... it all depends on your body, Good luck and God bless hope alll goes well with you :-)

They say you show faster after you've had a kid or two....... and well who knows. You might have twins!!!!! Haha.
My boyfriend during our first ultrasound for the second baby noticed me not paying as much attention to the screen (it wasn't THE gender testing ultrasound, the doctor was just looking for the first time and we were that far along 16 weeks) so I was like ok, can't wait until a month. My boyfriend said TWINS! and it made me jump. The doctor was like No no, one baby.......... haha what a turd :)
