I am looking for a new carseat for my son. He is about to be 3 and is almost to the 40 lb weight limit for using the 5 point harness. I am not ready to have him using a belt-positioning booster just yet. Does anyone have any recommendations for a carseat that has a 65 lb or higher limit for the harness? Thanks

This one goes all the way up to 100lbs if you so desire that extra time in a car seat for your son!! Just look around on babiesrus.com they have several that go up to 50lbs...and I've seen at least 3 more that go up to 100lbs

The Sunshine Kids Radian goes up to 65 lbs, and the Radian 85 goes up to 85 lbs as a 5 pt. harness! Britax also has several models that go to 65 lbs. Both of those are pretty expensive though. Evenflo has just brought out a new model of their Generations carseat (they call it a booster seat, but it is a 2 in 1, 5 pt. harness and booster) and it now goes up to 65 lbs. as a 5 pt. harness and is only about $150.00 (in Canada, anyways. They're usually less in the US) That's what we have, and we really like it.

They have the 5 point harness, belt positioning booster combos. This was awesome cause as they out grew the harness they grew right into the belt without the extra purchase of a new seat. here is the link to the one i like!http://www.walmart.com/ip/Safety-1st-Ape...
