We did a movie theme sleep over. I went to the store and got a bunch of box candy, (good N plenty, Bunch a Crunch, etc...), Popcorn boxes, rented a popcorn makerr, rented several DVDs then the kids came in the their pj's and brought their sleeping bags. The kids had a blast watching movies and eating popcorn.

The easiet 7 year old birthday party idea to me would be a Sleepover either at home or at a hotel so they can swim as well, Do The swimming first, Pizza and drinks, Have snacks there as well, get a movie and do cake and icecream.. Also you can do makeovers like paintin nails and the girly stuff

I have some great 7 year old birthday party ideas. First - a circus! Do multi colored plates balloons ect. have family or friends run "booths " and they can win prizes * you wont have to do loot bags .... They can decorate loot bags and do a lolly pop pull, bean bag toss, fish bowl toss, shoot hoops, "fishing" * have kids throw a rod or stick with string with a close pin on it over a hung blanket and person can hook on a prize* have pop corn hot dogs and decorate cup cakes, maybe have a clown depends how much money you want to spend and how creative you are most of these ideas you already have things at home that would work and you can make them with some wood saw and paints .... OR pick a few friends and do a movie and lunch or arcade type thing ... girls have a make over party !! paint nails do hair with fun clips and hair color spray do temp tattoos !

Keep it simple! Do your plates and napkins in his/her favorite character add some balloons and if some kids are coming over, play some games. Keep them moving! Serve the cake and ice cream last, so they go home and burn off the sugar! :-)

what is his / hers favorite cartoon? that always seems to work! or is she or he into princesses... tinker bell... helo kitty... sports... motorcycles... or hot wheels? those ideas work out just fine for 7 year old birthday parties! or I work at giant eagle in the bakery department and I see this all the time I always recomend taking your child in to pick out his or her own cake then go from there! plan around the cake! you have to have a main focus to plan a great party! have fun with it and go all out! just set a budget and stay with in the budget! your child would love it! for example! say it's a girl and she is into hannah montanna H.M. get her a H.M.cake and get her the plates, cups, napkins, and so forth.then watch a episode with her and you will see that they often go to riccos... make it a hannah montanna beach theme. or make it a little H.M. concert theme where the party favors are little ticket stubs (that you created) and hand them out and you can play all the H.M. cd's and if you have a cheroki machine do a cheroki contest with only h.m. music! have fun with it!

What's the gender? Anything specific they like? If it's a girl Princess theme is always fun :) If it's a boy, maybe Cars, or something like that? Or Transformers?
