Need some advice from mom's who have slow developing children. My son was born 5 weeks early he was 5 lbs when we left the hospital. Now he's just turned 9 months old and is 21 lbs 29 inches, and his head circumference is at the 35%. My son doesn't roll over, can't sit unassisted, and cannot crawl. He can bear weight on his legs, and will stand if you hold onto his arms. He loves to smile, be cuddled, and likes to yell and babble. My son gets cross eyed 7 to 9 times a day. My son has various issues which seemed to be linked to poor eye sight such as difficulty grabbing toys, becomes cross eyed frequently, doesn't acknowledge me unless I am directly in front of him, and cannot track. My pediatrician has had us set up an immediate appointment with an oncologists because she's afraid he's seeing doubled. She also scheduled an MRI because his upper body is so floppy and he seems to be unable to control it. He will go under sedation and have the sedation done on Tuesday. Any words of advice to any mom's that have been through this, it's been a very overwhelming day.
