9 month old throws up every morning

Not true Bonnie, he could be draining into his sinses and lungs while laying down. After he gets up his body trys to reject it, through out the day he is draining correctly therefore no need to throw up. My son had a bad cough he just couldnt shake (a year), in the morning he would cough so hard he would vomit. After my chain smoking tenants moved out of my home, his cough cleared up within two weeks.

If he was throwing up because of the flu or a bad cough, he would be doing it more than just in the morning IMO.

It isnt GERD, listen to your doctor. If he has a cold, and a cough he could actually be puking in an attempt to clear our his lungs. I would get the cold checked out again, since it shouldnt last for months. Do you smoke in the house, could it be asthuma?

Still! My friends son threw up for the first time about six times AND her doc told her that if he keeps throwing up for 24 hours or constantly throws up to bring him in and if he hasn't had a wet diaper in 12 hours to bring him in.





So pretty much the docs seem to be wrong

My son threw up regularly. He normally drank 1 percent cow milk after he was 1 year old. One day my sister in law bought fat free milk by accident. I thought " oh, he won't drink it because it will taste watery", but he tried it and really liked it! Also he stopped throwing up every day! The low fat milk was too thick and was upsetting his stomach. Something similar could be going on with your son- also you might try soy formula or another alternative. Also if you know something is wrong with your son, don't let a doctor tell you everything is fine and blow you off. Don't ignore your intuition. Also - you probably already know this but formula cannot be left out for more than an hour. If it is left unrefrigerated for more than an hour it must be thrown away. It will make a child throw up. If you are leaving for a long time either put your bottles in an ice chest or pack the formula to be mixed as you need it. Let me know if any of these things work or fit your situation

Oh, that's awful! If it continues for more than 10 days my advice would be to take your little one back to the dr again. Also, with respect to coughing; has your son's ears been checked for infection? My son had the same thing a couple of months ago and originally the dr said it was just a cold but a week or so later turned out to be an ear infection.

He's only been throwing up for a week. And we have seen every doc in that place and they all say the same thing. Either way we are going back tomorrow cuz this latest thing may be another virus that he picked up (at least thats what the nurse says)

Another "red flag" is that cough he's had for a month. Seriously go get him checked out.

I suggest you go to a different doctor. Throwing up every morning is NOT because of a cold. Something is wrong. Find a doc who will listen to you and don't leave until you get some answers.
