Starting a new mothers group in a few weeks. Just after some ideas - maybe you've been to a good one - What made it so good? Any ideas for ice breakers etc?

About to start a mothers group - any ideas??
Starting a new mothers group in a few weeks. Just after some ideas - maybe you've been to a good one - What made it so good? Any ideas for ice breakers etc?
I started one several months ago and for an icebreaker I had a page of questions for them to answer like: Do you have an siblings, favorite memory growing up, places you used to live. Get to know them growing up and then I had questions like What did you most fear while pregant, what was your first thought, etc for when they had their baby. Then, I asked questions to do with favorite thing to do, favorite song (music) anything about personal favorites. This helped me get to know them and what they would liked so that I could plan stuff they all enjoyed. Also, I have everyone bring a dish (sometimes I theme it like in the fall, their favorite fall dish or something like that). On the internet look up: 9 steps to starting a women's group. It has alot of ideas for you as the starter. Mine is with friends(not close) that I wanted to get to know better and not everyone, so we have learned to trust each other and talk about problems or struggles. It is very nice, we talk about raising our children, emotional things that we have problems with, getting ideas on being better wives, and child birth, and much, much more. Hope it goes well. Every exciting!!

I personally like goups with activities such as Mum and Baby exercises ect. But I think the main thing for me is the general atmosphere, comfortable and accomadating to new Mums needs (comfortable chairs to feed ect). I hope your group is a huge success, good luck!
