Acne like rash on legs/arms

Hi! My nearly 2yold has a "acne" like rash on his arms and legs.They look like pimples and get red and have pus in them, now and then i one or two will have pus in them. .I just can't seem to get rid of them....Could any mums offer me some advice about what to do to get rid of them please????

Just wanted to add that my son has has this problem for a few months,but not to this extent and it is simply like acne on his skin.

I would definitely take him to a Dr. It could also be a parasite like scabes.

it sound like 1 of 2 strong possibilities.has he been vaccinated for chicken pocks?the fact that it is spreading sounds a little suspicous. or it could be what my son has. it is similar to excema,but it is called seborhea.little white pimples all over the backs of the arms and front of legs also found on the cheeks. it seems to gets worse in the summer or with alot of activity.harmless but unattractive. a good fragrance free moisturizer should help. not a doc, but we have lived with it for almost 14 years now.

I apologize - I should have seen he's a boy! There are several highly contagious skin infections that appear that way. Until you get there, wash him every day, use gentle soap, and wash your hands often. Try to keep long sleeved shirts on him and pants and socks (cover anywhere you can with the rash) and keep his hands off it if you can as well.

the rash is getting worse-spreading more on his legs even visible on his arms now!!!! looks yuk think i'll have to take him to the dr's on Monday...

That could be an infection. Bring her to the doctor.

If it has been hot where u live at it might be a heat rash. But i am sure if u go and get some zinc oxide from the pharmacy it should clear up.

could it possibly be excema?I know when i've scratched myself stupid when I've had it, they have been infected like that.The more you scratch the more they spread.Or could it possibly be a form of herpes-like coldsores.Get it checked out by local health nurse or go to the doc for peace of mind.good luck!
