I want ideas of what to do in a moms group.
Like a a meal swap. Has anyone done such a thing? If I cooked 5 lasagnas and swapped with five other ladies I would have 5 dinners. Has anyone done this or any other activities that you've enjoyed? I'd love to hear details so I know how to get the activity going.

Another thing to swap: books...for both moms and kids.

I know I get tired of reading the same books to my daughter over and over and she enjoys getting new books.

Maybe when Christmas and the holidays come near, you could trade babysitting services. Half the ladies would watch all the kids one week while the other half did Christmas shopping...then swap out the next week.

Oh, didn't know that. As far as ideas.....I think you have a great idea just in that. Find out what everyone can and can't have and assign one person a week to cook a meal. Or 5 meals. We used to have this meals on wheels when I was in a meet up group for pregnant moms and everyday someone would cook something for the mom for 2 weeks. It was wonderful.

Meetup is the world's largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. More than 2,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.

Meetup's mission is to revitalize local community and help people around the world self-organize. Meetup believes that people can change their personal world, or the whole world, by organizing themselves into groups that are powerful enough to make a difference.

We have not done a meal swop but we have done a clothes swop as most of us mums have older children as well. This was a good activity because it cost us nothing to do and we all ended up going home with clothes to use in the future so we saved money.

We also did the race for life and trained together and the ladies that did not want to take part baby sat the children so we could train.
