Can I post a petition? That's soliciting, isn't it?



Can anyone link me to communities that I CAN post it in?



I am trying to 'solicit' awareness and help for a rare medical condition.....

Well, how about starting the post out with something like "do you have this condition" explain in your op what the condition is and see if anyone else is having this problem, or family members. Reach out to other mothers, and start a conversation. If you post links that have information about a condition, that is not soliciting. I mean you see how it is done all the time. People post links with medical information constantly. If of course it is a conversation piece. You can even have your op with the link at the bottom (on the condition, not a petition) and just say "hey this is what it is about if anyone wants more info".

Can I post links that DON'T have anything to sign on them instead of writing it all out?



And then just mention that there is a petition available if anyone wants to pm me... or is that soliciting too?



And hey, I can just keep asking questions on here and maybe enough people will read it and pm me anyway. lol

Instead of a petition, why don't you write a post about the rare condition? Make everyone aware of it. If people want to contact you directly through pm, you can send them the petition through that? Just a thought for you to get your information out without breaking T.H.U.M.P.S

Thanks guys. Didn't want to post it and get in trouble, but REALLY want to post it... ;)



It's the one I have on my Facebook, Jodi. I've shared it almost everywhere I CAN (even here on the Chiari group, but.... there are 4 members and the newest post not from me is over a year old...).



I'll keep looking. :)

I've deleted petitions in the past.

You are probably best to find some FB groups that may promote the cause. Or are there blogs out there that can do it?
