Do your kids like foods that are not typically kids foods???

My 3 and 2 yr olds like oysters, baby octopus, olives, feta cheese, licorice.

What foods will your kids eat that you think are unusual for a little one??

My older two eat sashimi but the little one hasnt showed an interest yet. Which is strange because of all the other weird things she will eat like octipus, eel, ox tail are some of her favs.

My kids love sushi, and spicy food.
My son goes crazy for blue vein cheese and smoked salmon too
My MIL makes a salmon dip for parties, the adults are lucky of they get any.

My children have ate sushi since they were around 2. I have teenagers who still love sushi to this day. Techly sushi is not "raw" fish, that is sashimi . Sushi is any food dish consisting of vinegared rice. Sushi is more often than not served in the western world with fully cooked sea food, including: cooked imitation crab (California roll); smoked salmon (Seattle roll); grilled squid or octopus; fully cooked shrimp; and fully cooked clam.

Asparagus, brussel sprouts, liverwurst, sauerkraut, scrapple. All things my husband loves but I can't stand. He likes most seafood and shellfish except for lobster. He won't eat the lobster because he thinks they should be a pet kept in a fish tank!

He wants to try sushi but I am worried that he is too young to have raw fish (he's 3). I don't mind him having California rolls or something else with cooked fish. Does anyone have kids his age that eat sushi?

My son likes the best of both worlds! He loves his broccoli, fish, and shrimp. He also loves his mac and cheese and french fries. He isn't a fan of chicken nuggets for whatever reason. He seems to prefer pork and fish for meats. He loves ALL fruits but also loves his ice cream!!

Gabby eats all of the same foods i eat which are not typical children foods. I think it has a lot to do with what you introduce them to.

My son likes salsa. I wouldn't say it's hot, but it's definitely not mild.

It seems like he's the only kid who doesn't like mac and cheese. Any pasta is a no-go for him.

I always fed my kids off my plate when they were little and rarely fed them 'kids' foods they have very adult/sophisticated pallets. My sons (9 years old) favorite food is fresh broccoli or baked salmon, my daughter (7 years old) is sushi or grilled meat with rice, We don't make and very very rarely buy fried foods everything is grilled or baked.

Even the older two when they were little if you put out a bowl of candy, chips, and fresh veggies the veggies were gone first every time and usually asked for a refill.

My kids aren't your typical kids they hate chicken nuggets etc.

However, give my kids baked chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies and they are over the moon.
