I am sick of all the Kahlua ads on this site. This is a site for mothers with children, and sometimes kids see this stuff. Why are there are so many stupid Kahlua ads. Also, does the marketing team for Kahlua not have spell check or people to proofread? One ad says "Like KaHULA on Facebook." Idiots.

No. But I did send it to a copy writer where I work and she thought it was pretty funny, so maybe that will get my foot in the door to the career I want. It doesn't really matter but it is fun to complain when I am here at work and filling in at the front desk because they can't seem to hire a receptionist... so i am super bored with nothing to do because I am stuck up here. Sorry guys! : )

There's no point complaining here, no-one who is anyone will see it. I haven't seen the ad, but was the word Kahula a play on words perhaps?

One of my three majors in college right now is English. I actually just finished it. My dream career is to be a copy writer, so I would start off by just proof reading for simple mistakes like that. I figured if I do it publicly, I might get noticed. As far as kids seeing the ad, I figured it might just be a relate-able thing to say when my real issue is mistakes on ads that companies actually spend money on. Typos happen in the every day world but when people spend money for an ad to be created for them, it better damn well be perfect. That's just taking pride in your work.

No alcohol ads on my site..... I honestly don't even notice the ads.... except when those annoying ones blot out the whole screen because you've scrolled over the wrong spot. THAT bothers me, but nothing else about the ads. The site has to get paid for somehow. I wouldn't care if my kids saw alcohol ads though. They know I don't drink. ;)
As for spell checking and proof reading.... there are errors everywhere. People are human and make mistakes. Not really something I see worth griping about.

It's not just that... I just don't like seeing things (like ads) that people get paid to create that have mistakes. I also don't understand why I have a Kahlua ad on my interface, since ads are consumer directed based on what that person has looked at the most on their computer.

I've never seen any ads for alcohol. While some people might let their kids have a look at this site, it still is intended to be a site for adults. Due to some of the questionable content in the threads that some moms post, I don't let my kid within 10 feet of my computer while I'm on circle of moms.
