Hi all im new here,

I have been having problems for months now. Also years with my periods. I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and panic disorder. The last few months, i have been having periods that last for just 1 day, heavier then normal. they have always been heavy and last like a week, but now too heavy and lasting a day.
I have been getting pins and needles, numbness in my legs and feet since about august last year, dizzy spells.
Went doctors today and demanded a second opinion. He now says i may be going through the menopuase, so he took lots of blood tests, i have a week to wait for results. I also have to have a scan. I had last year a huge cyst on one of my ovaries and im worried it is back as in a lot of pain on one side of my stomach.
Can anyone advise me please. I am 40 years old now.

Your doctor is the only one who understands all the ramifications of your condition and your individual circumstances sufficiently to tell whether you need any kind of surgery or not. Hopefully it won't take long for him to get back to you with the results so far.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're in a lot of pain and also that you have had a cancer scare. Let's hope that this all works itself out soon.

It's possible that you are approaching the menopause, yes. Unfortunately, only your doctor can really say for certain.

I wish you luck. Try and stay calm while you are awaiting the results of the tests. The main thing is that you have already sought a medical opinion and whatever the problem is, it can be addressed in a timely manner.
