My friend is due today and she's been leaking today and also very light brown spots...should she go to the hospital??

YES!!! If she is leaking amniotic fluid, and has not had any contractions to actually start the Laboring process, there is an increased risk of infection that can harm her and the baby. My water had broken at 5pm with my son, and by 8pm they decided to induce and put me on antibiotics, because I already had a fever and other signs of infection.

Thanks Ladies...she called telehealth and they said she needs to go to the hospital...and she's on her way right now..finger crossed :)

Better safe then sorry.. Call you doctor to see if they can see you or go to the hospital to get checked...My water did that with my first and I gave birth 12 hours later...

Well she needs to call her doc. Her water is probably breaking and she will probably have the baby soon. Good Luck -New life is so exciting!!!

due today... probably having baby today or tomorrow if she is leaking. good luck! call nurse, any contractions? they will check her, if no contractions, they might send her home, if bag breaks they will keep her in hospital. go, but not too early ;)

Call the advise nurse. They will let you know. If she is LEAKING like her water broke then yes she needs to give birth in 24hrs. But if its just mucous and bloody show she can wait for contractions. As always if worried just call the hospital that's what they are there for!
