Hi, I'm a ankylosing spondylitis mom to be, even I'm only 15 weeks now, I had trouble in sleeping. It was painful when sleeping on side for long hours. is there any mom had similar experience?

if a knee pillow doesn't work try a pillow that reaches from your knees to your belly it worked amazing for me

Thanks a lot Star Powers! I had a knee pillow, and it works a bit. I think I need to use a bigger body pillow

I had the same thing what you got to do is put a body pillow between your legs and below your baby belly if your not comfy nor is your baby

Sleeping on your left side is best because it takes pressure off the main artery so more oxygen gets to the baby. Bt the right side is okay. It took me until five months pregnant to get used to it. If you wake up on your back that's okay just turn over. Your back can be iffy because the weight form the uterus puts pressure on the babies blood vessels. You could also sleep sitting up with pillows. A slight angle to allow your baby to bepulled by gravity is safe. You will get used to it especially when your belly is really big and heavy. Also get used to waking up a few times a night it's just what we do now to prepare for when baby is here. Take naps
