I have two grandchildren; 1 is 18 months old and another who is 4 months old. They both live in another state and I miss them terribly. Since I am fairly new to being a Grandma, any suggestions on how to build a relationship with them until I can retire (10 years) and move down to be with them?

make a photo book of yourself.

Get a friend to hang out with you for the day. Get a picture of you groery shopping, put captions on there saying "Your grandma LOVES these apples!"

A picture of you gardening with a caption that says "This is my favorite flower, I think of you when I see blue/pink" etc?

A picture of you cooking, reading a book, in your car, talk about your car, I love my prius, accord, is such a pretty blue, needs a paint job, etc.

I know that they're a little young now (maybe) but between our home, and my Mom & Dad's home ( in another state ), we make use of a webcam so that grandma & grandpa can see and talk to our children, say goodnight at bedtime, etc. They really enjoy being able to see grandma & grandpa while they talk to them, rather than just using the phone.
