I thought maybe I'd try, seeing getting help with a boys name went so well! Anyone have any great girl names? I'm looking for something unique but not too out there that people can't pronounce or ask, What were they thinking!"

I like traditional last names to use as first names, i.e. Taylor, Kennedy, Makenna

One name I didn't get to use for a girl is Nadine. It means "Hope". I was going to name our last child, if a girl: Nadine Joyce. (We had a boy). Another, that I did use is Saundra. I spell it with a "u" to get the "au" sound in faucet. Some people spell it Sondra. It means "Helper of man kind". I hope these help.

my girls are called katherine, amelie and phoebe.i also liked chloe, maya, lara. you have to think about all the possible shortenings that other children at school could call - as some are ok and others nasty. dont use names that are surnames or places like taylor or dakota , theses are so passe now. and dont add yours and his together either. old fashioned names are good standbys, alexandra, elizabeth, victoria, and flower names, like rose, daisy, etc. if you feel comfortable shouting it out loud down the ailes of wall-mart etc then u r nearly there. gud luck.

We named our daughter Larna as a variant on Lana (didn't like that it spelt anal backwards) and we got a lot of comments about how nice it was. She was in international newspapers so that's how we got the feedback.

We also liked Mia (said my-ah) and Talia (said Tal-ee-ah)

I'm rather old fashioned in my names I like Josephine Elizabeth, I'd love to call her Josie. I like names that can be used both whole for professional purposes, and trimmed for family and friends.
