any ideas for a good halloween costume

I always love the lil devil costumes or the winnie the poohs costumes- not that they're very original. I recommend a sleeper costume of some kind since they poop out pretty quick and can go straight to bed without a big fuss. Google Imagery- Infant Costumes- tons of ideas there!

My son was Yoda from Star Wars a couple of years ago. He's 5 now but it was really easy. Brown shirt and pants with a little bit of rope for a belt and some green make-up. He was super cut. I also sprayed his hair green.

My son is going to be Harold from Harold and the purple crayon. It's going to be his first Halloween and I wanted something easy and comfortable.

For my oldest son who is now 10, he was a Dalmation. I made that costume for him and still have it to this day in his Time Capsule. My now 4 year old was a Lion for the first halloween. Both were cute as buttons, but now they both decide from year to year what they want to be.

When I was a child my mom always without fail made our costumes, but things have changed over the years and most moms just don't have the time anymore.

The easiest and cutest are costumes made out of onesies with attachments to make them look like something else. My favorite is still the pod of peas, it had a little hat made out of felt which represented the end of the pod. Have fun, it's a great time for family get togethers.

you guys have great ideas...i was looking the other day at walmart and they have like animals...i think i have an idea for something ive never seen any of my family do..i was thinking of doing the whole.."Little gangster" look...have you ever seen the pic of tupac where hes got his shirt off and you can see all of his tattoos..i was going to take eye liner or the black paint stuff and write thug life on his chunky belly and have the bandana in his hair then have is baggy pants on with one leg rolled up with his little tan boots...so he looks like a little gangster...keep the ideas coming though cuz this is just something i was thinking of for about an hour..still liable to change my mind...halloween is still a little over a month away

Just the other day I was at Target looking at costume..and they have the cutest HOT DOG costume!! it was adorable!..ages 3-6 months and 6-9 months.. only $15!! Good Luck! =)

My daughter was a monkey with a banana split on top of her head and her Uncle was the man in the yellow hat for her first Halloween. My family and friends have come up with some creative costume ideas, as well: Dressing up their babies as the Travelocity Gnome... as Lucky from the Lucky Charms... or family ideas: dress up as the Flintstones if they have a son or the Rubles if they have a girl... have dad dress up as King Kong and baby as a banana... Dad dressing up as a football player and baby as a football... Mom dress up as Mary and baby as a lamb... Mom dress up as Little Miss Muffet and baby as a spider... baby as a flower and Mom and/or Dad as a bee...

A friend made her baby girl into a lobster, when she laid on the floor, it was perfect! I've seen an octopus (onesie with many colorful arms attached) or a bat. You could do a chili pepper baby bunting sleeper if he's not crawling yet. You can always do a skeleton and any type of long candy (tootsie roll, smarties or even a hotdog, etc) Have fun and good luck! :)

my daughter was born a month early and wasn't supposed to be here yet, so she didn't have a costume, but last year she was a black cat and my oldest was a witch. this year my oldest will be silvermist, my middle one will be rosetta and our new baby will be a firefly (all from the tinkerbell movies - my girls are obsessed with them!). :)



i remember one year my little brother was a dragon. i was a cell phone once (imagine a kid in a big box with foam numbers, dots on the face where the earpiece is, and a broomstick antenna sticking out from the top...). my mom made us m&m's costumes before the mars company even made them.... there are really tons of possibilities, just have fun and remember that inspiration can be anywhere! :)

Well you can always go with your favorite team mascot! I made my sons last year and the outcome was wonderful! We love the Boston Redsox, so I bought a green costume and added a few things to make Wally the green monster!

Sorry, I wasn't very creative when they were small. We have been pumpkins, spiders, catepillars, dogs, cows, penguins, chicken, mermaids, ladybugs, bee plus many more. My youngest has already chossen a skunk costume this year.

My boy twins didn't do anything for the first Halloween because of many reasons. They didn't participate until they were 1 year and 4 months old. I bought them cow costumes, and I dressed as a cowboy/farmer. The following two years after that I was able to use the same costumes twice. They went as monkey's. Now I'm stuck again on what to do for their costume. Good luck with finding the perfect costume for your little one!
