I have two boys. The first one was 3 years old before he had any interest in going to the potty. When he was ready we put big boy underwear on and if he peed or poop in them he did not like the feeling and within a week he was having very few accidents. We would ask him every hour or so and it worked pretty good. The second one was only 2 and a few months and did the same with the underwear but he wanted to be like his big brother and go potty. He took awhile longer before he had no accidents but he just turned three and is fully trained. Hope it helps.

give them a book they like while they sit.  and buy them a potty training book that you can read to them often (not while she's sitting though).

Keep it stress free and don't hurry it. Nobody likes wee running down their legs and kids are no different so make all equipment available to your child and encourage them to do it in their own time and it won't be long before they are showing you how grown up they really are.

My baby girl is too wee to train yet but my mum woul look after my sistes twin boys while she is at work and i have been there to see how she dose. When they have a dirty/ wet nappy she would pop them ont the toilet with there own little seat while she changes them so that they start to realise that when they need to go they can use the toilet. It has been working, they may start in their nappies but the would finish on the toilet.

Well the potty book don't help. She tells me when she has to go poop but she wont tell me when she has to go pee(unless she is in trouble in her room). But she will be 3 next monday. We tried to set a timer and every time the timer goes off she goes but she got tired of doing that too. She does like the book when she is going poop.
