My 5 year old daughter starts school in August and I'm feeling anxious. She is ready and it will be good for her. I'm the one that is dreading the moment. :)

We seem to be hitting a lot of milestones this year. We just celebrated my third child's 2nd birthday, my daughter will be starting school, my youngest will turn one (which will also be the last of our 1st birthdays) and then shortly after the new year, my second child will be old enough to start a preschool program that's offered at the base we live on. I have no idea what I'll do with myself the more free time I have!! I am hoping to be involved with the school though. I want so much to participate in field trips and the like. I remember how it made me feel like Queen of the World to have my parents there, and I so much want to give that to my kids.
We're also planning a first day of school surprise party for my daughter. I think it's more to help my husband and I come to terms with the idea that our kids *are* growing up and to celebrate it rather than mourn it.

I'm finally getting use to the idea. She's definately ready and has been telling everyone where she will be going to school. I will have my two boys in preschool 3 days a week so it will be nice to have a little time to myself.

My 4 1/2 year old is starting full-time preschool in August and I am super excited :-) He has been in a daycare setting since 18 months, but on a part-time basis. But now I am returning to work full time and he is more than academically ready for preschool. I love the curriculum and Montessori style hands-on learning. His classroom is called "Begindergarten" and geared for kids who are not yet ready to enroll in public school Kindergarten because of age, but have demonstrated academic knowledge of K curriculum.

My 5 year old daughter will also be starting school in the fall and her kindergarten is an 5 days a week all do program. I have been a stay at home mom since she was born, so I am really going to miss her all day. I probably won't miss her as much as her 3 year old sister will though! She is pretty lost without her big sis to play with.
All of that being said, she is so excited about being in kindergarten....she can't wait!

My daughter is also 5 years old and will be starting school in August. I work at a daycare so my daughter has always went to work with me. I'm also kind of anxious about her going to school away from me. I think that she will do fine. I will just miss being able to go right down the hall to visit her classroom.

Me too!! My daughter is also starting this fall and I'm filled with trepidation. She's excited and telling her brothers about how she's gonna go learn and how she's gonna show her teacher all the things she can do.
