hi I am a mom of 4 children ages 6,4 and half,3 and a half, and 16 months old. I got my tubes tied when my last one was born,I regret it so much! Me and my husband want another baby or 2! I feel I was pressured by close family because if I didnt they would think I was crazy to have more. I am 24 and feel I am to young to have them tied...i want to know if anyone has had it done and how much it cost? I hear some insurances will cover everything but the procedure. any help would be great because I want to get this reversed! :)

How about you get the doctor who tied your tubes in the first place to reverse it for free. At your age one of the first things he should have asked/told you was that there were other methods available to you. Mirena for example, keeps you from getting preganant for 5 years and is completly reversable. Your doctor should have informed you of this option and let you think it over. When I had the same thing done, it's what my Dr. did. My situation was a little different I also have 4 kids the baby is 2 1/2 now but I was 34 when he was born. Even so my doctor initially refused to to do the tubal because he said I might change my mind about it later. After I had some time to think and was able to explain my reasons he consented. I feel so sorry you were pressured by you family and your dr. didn't give you any options. I will tell you that my sis-in law had her tubal reversed and she said it was hard on her, but worth it to get the last little baby she knew belonged in her family.... she has six kids. Good Luck to you.

Sorry - I don't know of anyone, but will ask around. Maybe you could try calling a GYN and they could refer you to patients who have had it done. I'm happy to hear you want more children - - I had 7 and loved it!! They're all grown now, and the grandkids are even more fun! Lots of work, but we had a buddy system, and job charts, and had lots and lots of fun!. Yes, we were poor, but empty boxes and sticks (instead of TV!) spurred their imaginations, and they were always playing together. Thrift Stores have tons of cool, cheap toys and clothes - they never missed a thing, and are all now having from 3 to 6 kids of their own - and homeschooling as we did!
