Any one know anything about IVF? How to cut costs and be able to afford it?

Hi

I don't know where you are, but here in the UK you can actually choose to "donate" some of your spare eggs to women who are looking for egg donations and get a reduction in the amount you have to pay for your IVF treatment.

Hope that helps!

Hi, Yes, my first daughter is an IVF baby!  We used Dr. Vaughn at Texas Fertility Center in Austin.  He is very professional and it worked for us.  Our insurance covered 7000 lifetime max - we used some of that and then worked with the doctor's office to pay out the balance.

I wish you the best.  If you have questions I have answers as I have done it!

Have you checked with your insurance, in some states it is now a law to help with fertility treatments.  Yes it is very expensive, my insurance stopped paying as soon as we did AI.  Have you checked to see if anyone has donated meds, etc to your Dr?  I had revcd my meds and was set up to do IVF the following cycle and got lucky, I got pregnant on my own.  I then donated my meds to my Dr office, they were $1,500.  I had to pay for them up front.  I wish I could be of more help, I know how frustrating it can be.
