My daughter had it very bad, we ended up at a dermatologist who recommended we do Cetaphil 4 times a day until it cleared up, now that it is under control we do Cetaphil twice a day to keep it under control. She has been battling with it since she was 6 months old, now she is 3. We have prescription cream for areas that don't go away with the Cetaphil, but we rarely have to use it. Also, the doc said to not have really hot baths as it aggravates it as well as to use a mild soap that you just put on the wash cloth to wash the baby. I use Aveeno Baby Eczema Soap. Hope this helps!

Hey, when my son developed extremely dry patches i found oilatum was the best for him. i got the cream and the bath oil from the doctor on perscription..as its quite expensive to buy separately. But it depends on how severe the eczema is.

Hi,

Have you tried olive oil & silcocks base (emulsifing ointment),heat the oil(in a microwave for 10 seconds) mix the 2 of them together and cover the area's affected. takes about a week to clear up.

Hope this helps

It depends on the severity of it. My baby had a mild case of eczema and I would rub him down with Aquaphor healing ointment. It really helped him out and improved his skin. His doctor recommended it to me and gave me samples. She told me if it didn't start to work after a week or so that she would have to prescribe an ointment over the counter. Aquaphor can be bought in any store just about. It's not that pricey.

My baby has it too, and my doc said just keep the area dry and lots of lotion or vaseline. vaseline really helps on the face, I find.
